Comments

The table also identifies the ‘caree’ for whom the recipient was caring. This identifier (rel_id) corresponds to Person Identifiers (person_id) elsewhere in DOMINO and can be used to identify further information about the caree.

The (period_start_date) and (period_end_date) variables align with corresponding benefit episodes in the det_ben table. Start dates reflect the start of the principal carer relationship or the start of benefit receipt, whichever comes later. End dates reflect the end of the principal carer relationship or the end of benefit receipt, whichever comes sooner. As such, the dates may not reflect the start or end of the caring relationship if it extends beyond the period of benefit receipt.
