The ASGS Commonwealth Electoral Divisions are an ABS approximation of Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) electoral division boundaries. The number of electors in a division is calculated based on a formula, and divisions are prescribed for the purpose of returning one member to the House of Representatives, the Lower House of the Parliament of Australia.
