Origin

1 Extraction

The data for this distribution is extracted from the data warehouse at Services Australia. The source tables are detailed below.

  • CIRD_GDTL_GFDT contains gift/deprived asset details for a customer.
  • CIRD_GDTL_GFDP contains summarised gift/deprived asset details for a customer per pension year.

Records are extracted from each of these tables with the application of the following filters:

  • removing deleted and provisional records, and
  • removing records that do not have a logical delete date of 31 December 9999.

2. Episode Generation

The extract from CIRD_GDTL_GFDP is organised chronologically for each recipient based on the date of event.

The episodes are then generated which can be generalised using the variable assignments in Table 1.

Table 1: Generalisation of Episode Generation Variable Assignments

A row will only be output to the final distribution if any of the dollar amounts are non-zero or at least one of the gift notes have changed.

3 Merging GFDT Information

The episodes obtained are then merged with the RBID extract through the Person ID and Asset Identifier variables. This introduces new variables to the final distribution:

  • Asset amount of the gift (divided by 100)
  • Gift consideration amount (divided by 100)
  • Percentage of gift owned
  • Percentage of gift owned by partner
  • Gift details
  • Gift type
  • Gift rural exemption code
  • Gift contribution date
  • Special Disability Trust identifier
